The EC opened the consultation on the Solvency II review via the Better regulation platform as follows:

Inception impact assessment (roadmap) – open from feedback from 1 July to 26 August

Public consultation on the Solvency II review – the consultation runs from 1 July to 21 October
Following the consultation, the EC is expected to present the legislative proposal in Q3 2021. The secretariat of Insurane Europe will assess the consultation and plans to issue a first draft response in the second half of July, on which members will be invited to provide feedback.
