On 12 July, EIOPA launched a consultation on its Advice on the harmonisation of national insurance guarantee schemes (IGS) across the Member States of the European Union.
This consultation paper is a draft response to the respective IGS-related section of the Call for advice on the 2020 review of the Solvency II Directive, which the European Commission sent to EIOPA in February.
Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback to the draft advice by 18 October 2019. The final EIOPA advice will be included in the 2020 Solvency II Review Opinion.
