The letter sent on 13 March by the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, to the head of the IASB Chair and IFRS Chair asking for an “expeditious” review of the non-recycling treatment of equity instruments within IFRS 9. In the letter, the Commission also ask for the revision to take place before the application of IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 for (re)insurers.
