Dotazník OECD – Integration of ESG principles in investment decisions and development

Background

As part of the work of the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) on Sustainable Investment, the OECD’s Insurance and Private Pensions Committee intends to prepare a report on how institutional investors are integrating ESG factors into their portfolio, including used ESG models, the current challenges and the possible future opportunities to further develop the integration of ESG criteria into financial investments.

In order to collect information to this end, the OECD has designed a specific questionnaire and has asked the secretariat to support its distribution to insurance companies in the national markets. The work of the OECD aims at understanding the models and metrics used by major institutional investors when assessing ESG risks and opportunities. The collected information can be used to identify:

  • the key issues faced by buyers of ESG assets
  • some best practices and a practical toolkit for investors interested in integrating ESG criteria into their investment decision-making process
