The working group on euro-risk free interest rates (see https://www.ecb.europa.eu/paym/initiatives/interest_rate_benchmarks/WG_euro_risk-free_rates/html/index.en.html), which was established to identify and recommend alternative euro risk-free rates, has published two consultations requesting feedback on its latest work.
- The first consultation relates to the transition from EONIA to ESTER (the current euro overnight benchmark interest rate and its proposed replacement, respectively) – https://www.ecb.europa.eu/paym/pdf/cons/euro_risk-free_rates/ecb.eoniatransitionreport201812.en.pdf
- The second consultation (here) relates to the creation of ESTER-based term structures as a fallback for EURIBOR-based contracts – https://www.ecb.europa.eu/paym/pdf/cons/euro_risk-free_rates/ecb.consultation_details_201812.en.pdf
The deadline for both consultations is 1 February 2019.
