Final release of the EIOPA Solvency II 2.2.0 XBRL taxonomy and DPM

On 19 July, EIOPA released its final Solvency II 2.2.0 XBRL taxonomy and DPM.

This new taxonomy version reflects among other topics considerations given to bug fixing, revision of XBRL filing rules, reference dates, multicurrency checks, publication of the list of validations.

Note that EIOPA has provided a feedback statement to be found in the item “The business package supporting Taxonomy 2.2.0” which explains the rationale of the way EIOPA dealt with the main comments provided by the industry. EIOPA has let the secretariat know that the remainder of the comments may be considered at a later stage in a subsequent taxonomy release.

Next steps

The final Solvency II 2.2.0 XBRL taxonomy and DPM should be implemented by (re)insurers and will be effective for reporting from Q4 2017 onwards.
